Join us for a fun afternoon of free activities and taster sessions around the building.

Pre event we will have our staff Piper playing people in at our main entrance

12 – 4pm Ricefield Arts host fun recycled material workshops in Activity room
12 – 1pm Quidditch class in Sports Hall
12 – 1pm First Gymnastics Academy session
1 – 1.20pm Family Dance taster in Studio 2
1 – 2pm Family Games in Sports Hall
1 – 2pm Second Gymnastics Academy session
1.30 – 2pm Family Dance taster in Studio 2
2 – 3pm Third Gymnastics Academy session
2 – 3pm Club 5 – 11 in the Sports Hall/Drop off for Free Gym taster sessions
2 – 3pm Mini FT Fit tasters and Tanita readings in Gym area
3 – 4pm Final Gymnastics Academy session
3 – 4pm Kelvin Hall Birthday party in Sports Hall

We would recommend that you wear comfortable clothing to try out our sports activities.

Please note that places for the Gymnastics Academy book up fast and are first come, first served so arrive early if you can to avoid disappointment.

12 – 4pm We will be offering Birthday Banter Home Movies on the Video Wall at the National Library of Scotland Moving Image Archive Access Centre as well as Family Films Screening in the Learning Room and a ‘Find Oscar’ game to win a prize.

12 – 4pm You can visit The Hunterian Collections Study Centre for some dinosaur and bug fun! We will have some rare Scottish dinosaur material to see as well as some spectacularly well preserved Jurassic fossils as well as quizzes, mystery objects, dinosaur bones and big bugs for you to identify.

As well as all of this we will also have volunteer led building tours around the building and into Glasgow Museums’ stores, a Smoothie bike and a very special visitor from the Glasgow 2018 European Championships!
