Age Well Museum Workshops

We're happy to announce that Glasgow Life Museums are now in a position to offer free Age Well sessions for groups of older adults and care homes visiting our venues. This includes right here at Kelvin Hall!

These relaxed museum sessions offer the opportunity for your group to visit and engage with museum objects in a meaningful way with a member of our museums learning team. Participants will have the opportunity to handle real museum objects, take part in practical activities, and enjoy tea, coffee and chat.

These workshops are dementia friendly and can be tailored to meet the needs or interests of your group.

These Age Well sessions last around 90 minutes and are best suited for groups of 5-12 participants, including carers. The workshops are available to book throughout the year in any of the following Glasgow Museum venues:

  • Kelvin Hall
  • Riverside Museum
  • Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery
  • The Burrell Collection
  • Glasgow Museums Resource Centre (GMRC)
  • The People’s Palace

Each venue offers a unique session exploring the objects from that museum. The Glasgow Life Museums stores at Kelvin Hall hold a wide variety of social history objects.

To book an Age Well group session in a museum venue of your choice please call 0141 276 9505 / 9506 or Email: museums.schoolbookings@glasgowlife.org.uk

Please try to book as far in advance as possible to ensure availability.
