Tearoom Treats: Chocolate Fudge

We got a really tasty Tearoom Treat for you this Friday, perfect to go with your afternoon cuppa – Chocolate Fudge!

We hope you’ve saved that leftover condensed milk from last week, but if not and you’ve got a tin lurking in the back of your cupboard, just double the ingredients and use a bigger container and the recipe will still work.

You will need:

  • ½ tin condensed milk
  • 180g chocolate (milk or dark)
  • 35g butter
  • A few drops vanilla extract

You can also add some extra flavouring to your fudge. We used a few tablespoons of crunchy peanut butter swirled through, but you could also add some sweets like Maltesers!

Line a small container with foil and grease it – an old takeaway container is an ideal size for this. Gently melt all your ingredients at a low heat in a pot on the cooker. Don’t let the mixture boil! Stir them together so the mixture is nice and smooth. Once everything has melted, take the mixture off the heat and keep stirring until it thickens.

Now you can swirl your extra flavourings through the mixture Turn it out into the container and smooth it down. Pop it in the fridge overnight, then cut into small squares.

Try not to eat it all at once! If you give this recipe a go, please share a photo of your results, we’d love to see them!
