Heritage Skills

The Academy for Cultural and Heritage Skills offers a unique portfolio of in-service training and professional development solutions for museums and galleries and the wider cultural heritage workforce in Scotland.

The Academy for Cultural and Heritage Skills

The Academy uses The Hunterian Collections Study Centre, teaching rooms and conference suite at Kelvin Hall to provide a professional learning path for museum and gallery professionals, enabling them to build their careers through accredited modules.

The University of Glasgow, The Hunterian, Glasgow Life and the National Library of Scotland collaborate to offer specific training for the sector ranging from apprentice level skills training for new entrants and for voluntary programmes designed to develop the sector's leaders in Scotland, the UK and internationally.
